What Makes NeuroCalm Different

NeuroCalm techniques can be learned online, from the comfort and privacy of your own home. You are always in control of what you choose to share—there is no obligation to discuss personal experiences. These sessions are not therapy, but practical, evidence-based methods designed to support your mental wellbeing.

Every person responds differently, which is why each session is tailored to your needs. We’ll focus on the tools that feel most effective and comfortable for you, so the process always feels supportive and empowering.

Personalised to Your Needs

Learn a Range of Mental Health Tools

Sessions draw on a wide variety of proven approaches to calm and reset the nervous system. These include vagal toning exercises, breathing techniques, guided visualisations, mindfulness, tapping, EMDR-inspired strategies, and exploring how core belief systems influence daily life. Together, they provide a toolkit you can use both in the moment and long term.

Many people experience a sense of relaxation and calmness after just one session. For longer-lasting changes—such as reduced stress, better emotional balance, and greater resilience—ongoing or weekly sessions may be recommended.

❊ FAQs

You’ve got questions,
we’ve got answers

  • Before the session a link will be emailed to you that you will click at the time of the session. This link will bring you into a private classroom that includes its own video to use during the session.

  • No. You don’t need to prepare or bring anything. A secure link to the online video classroom will be provided for your session.

  • All lessons are at least 60 minutes long. Tuition is typically held for an hour, hour and a half or two hours, once or twice a week (depending on the student’s needs).

  • Sessions are typically paid through direct debit at any point ahead of the scheduled session.

  • As students or clients may be on a waiting list for a particular day and time, we do ask for at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel a lesson. Unless there are mitigating circumstances, 50% of the lesson fee will be chargeable if there is no reasonable notice or ‘no show’ within 12 hours of the lesson time.

  • Trauma often disrupts the nervous system, leaving it out of balance. NeuroCalm techniques can help regulate and restore the nervous system. However, for deep or complex trauma, these sessions are best used alongside support from a professional therapist.

  • No supplies are necessary. The interactive online classroom allows you to draw or create images digitally, and your work can be saved for later.

  • Yes. EMDR is based on mimicking the rapid eye movement (REM) that occurs during sleep, which helps the brain process misaligned memories. This process can still be guided effectively in an online format using video.

  • The vagus nerve plays a key role in the parasympathetic nervous system—the part of our body responsible for relaxation. Vagal toning techniques stimulate this nerve, encouraging your body to slow the heart rate, deepen breathing, and naturally shift into a calmer state.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) are approaches that explore the link between thoughts, emotions, and core beliefs. By identifying and challenging negative or unconscious beliefs, it becomes possible to shift towards healthier, more positive thought patterns—naturally improving mood and decision-making.

  • EFT, often called “tapping,” is a technique that combines gentle tapping on specific acupressure points with focused attention on a thought, memory, or feeling. This helps release emotional tension, reduce stress, and calm the nervous system.

  • During a session, you’ll be guided through simple tapping sequences on key points of the face and body. These points are connected to energy meridians, similar to acupuncture but without needles. Many people find tapping brings quick relief from stress, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions.

  • Yes. TMS, also known as Mind-Body Pain Syndrome, is often linked to stress, unconscious emotions, and nervous system dysregulation. NeuroCalm techniques can help by calming the body’s stress response, addressing underlying belief systems, and teaching the nervous system to shift out of pain patterns. These sessions are not a substitute for medical advice, but they can be a powerful complement to recovery from chronic pain.

  • There is no need to sign-up to anything for the online classroom. Sometimes guests will be asked to input a name to use for the classroom.

  • Sometimes switching to a different browser (like Chrome or Firefox) and it’s latest version will solve any issues. If there is any further troubleshooting issues please call or Facetime 07517157582.

  • Online lessons are available both during the weekday and evenings. Please contact to discuss available times.
